Funding, Grant-Making and Programme Implementation
The Institute of Public Policy Initiatives (IPPI) mobilizes, manages, and administers financial and technical resources to implement high-impact programmes, policy initiatives, and research aligned with its strategic priorities. Through its Funding and Opportunities Programme, IPPI provides competitive subgrants, programme grants, and research grants to civil society organizations, community-based organizations, NGOs, academic institutions, social enterprises, and other eligible partners working in priority development areas.
IPPI mobilizes resources from development partners, philanthropic organizations, foundations, CSR initiatives, impact investors, and other strategic stakeholders to support evidence-based interventions in governance, public policy, economic development, social inclusion, human rights, health, education, climate resilience, environmental sustainability, youth empowerment, and digital transformation. The Institute also directly implements development programmes, applied research, policy interventions, and capacity-building initiatives at local, national, and regional levels.
Through transparent, accountable, and results-based grant management systems, IPPI ensures effective funding administration, including proposal development, due diligence, grant oversight, financial management, compliance monitoring, technical assistance, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL), and impact reporting. By strengthening the capacity of partner organizations through mentorship, training, and institutional development support, IPPI promotes sustainable solutions, effective governance, and locally led development. The Institute serves as a trusted development partner, connecting resources, research, and innovation to advance evidence-based public policy and inclusive, resilient, and sustainable development in Africa.
